"Aer is the Latin word for "air". I have always been fascinated by the ethereal sounds that play with our perception, as their source is unclear or ambiguous: the sound is the voice of air, and the impression of the space where it has been heard. With these compositions, I wanted to evoke a sense of spaciousness, weightlessness, and fluidity, creating an auditory experience that feels both intimate and boundless. Working on Aer again in 2024, after all the music I wrote and all the field recordings I took during the last 10 years, offered me a further point of reflection about the connection between the soundscape outside us - even the recorded one from a closer or a distant past - and the inner soundscape inside us." – Giulio Aldinucci
