We present a new recording by the enigmatic project Sagart Alhague.
By definition, folk music is traditional music that originates among the common people of a particular culture, which raises the question: who are those people, and what is their culture in this case? The answer is not obvious, but a few things are clear: their morals are peculiar, their customs are unsettling, and their history is filled with ineffable suffering and secrets.
Recorded in Paris, 2025, on a portable cassette recorder. String parts performed on cithara.
