Wide soundscapes, nostalgic pads, heavy chords, rich textures and fragile plucked melodies, pull us to the deepest and darkest before bringing us back to the light. That’s the transformation path that Dive wants to take us across all tracks. Dive, the album title, as a metaphor about leaving the surface and falling into the deepest emotions, face the unknown and therefor be forced to grow.
After his self-tittled and self-released debut album in 2019, a mixture of ambient, electronic and post rock, on this new album João Pedro Nogueira wanted to take on a new direction and focused only on ambient and electronic. For the most of the sounds vintage analog synths were used.
